| Duties: | Duties include developing and implementing comprehensive internal audit and compliance programs for the Whitefish Credit Union; conducting internal audits and compliance reviews in accordance with established standards and practices; preparing audit and compliance review follow-up reports detailing findings and any recommended corrective measures to the Supervisory Committee and Senior Management; assisting in establishment/revision of internal financial and operational controls, policies and procedures to ensure compliance, while considering efficiency, effectiveness and the safety and soundness of the Whitefish Credit Union; analyzing developing trends in auditing and compliance; and developing and maintaining a compliance training program. |
| Qualifications: | Candidate must have Bachelor�s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance; internal audit experience and/or internal audit certification preferred. Candidate must also possess broad knowledge of credit union or other financial institution operating areas, functions, products and services, as well as the laws and regulations which apply to credit unions; knowledge of loan standards and the ability to analyze loan decisions and related documentation; the ability to conduct thorough research, interpret and understand laws and regulations, and provide workable and understandable solutions to problems; strong computer skills; and the ability to work with all levels of management and staff, industry regulators and credit union members. Must be well-organized, efficient, detailed self-starter. |
