Description:Responsible for performing a broad variety of financial services such as opening and closing accounts, renewing certificate accounts, and assisting members with issues on their account(s. Responsible for interviewing, processing, underwriting, decisioning, closing and funding consumer, credit card, and overdraft account loans within authorized limits. Answers member questions regarding credit union services provided and performs a variety of account maintenance. Actively cross sells services and performs related tellering functions as required. Assists members with any and all questions or problems that arise. Performs job duties and responsibilities in compliance with credit union policies, procedures, standards of performance and service standards. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
Duties:Provide excellent member service over the phone and face to face by establishing and maintaining member relationships through active listing and matching of credit union products and services to individual member needs.

Presents and explains all credit union services and products to members and assists in meeting their financial needs.

Process member withdrawals, transfer of funds and general ledger receipts.

Opens and closes all types of accounts including but not limit to share, drafts, share certificates, etc., rents safety deposit boxes, orders checks, completes payroll deductions and direct deposit authorization forms etc. Renews and updates certificate accounts. Performs file maintenance and account changes as needed.

Answers questions and solves problems for members by actively listening, collecting data, securing answers, and reporting results to the inquiring party. Resolves member issues and checking account problems. Takes and processes stop payment orders, VISA and debit card disputes etc.

Interviews, takes applications, gathers information, and processes preliminary documentation on loan requests. Evaluates and verifies loan applications and credit criteria. Computes debt ratios. Verifies employment and income. Determines value of collateral. Approves loans and performs other transactions within approved limits of authority as defined by policy. Notifies applicants of loan decisions. Requests additional information if required.

Coordinates and processes closings. Ensures each loan is promptly and properly prepared, documented, processed, approved, and disbursed. Cross-sells, disability, GAP and MBI and other protection products.

Ensures lending operations are conducted in accordance with established Credit Union policies and are legally compliant. Ensures loan requests are properly documented.

Actively and effectively promote, explain and cross-sell other credit union products and services.
Qualifications:One to two plus years new account and/or previous consumer lending experience. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal skills, and a proven track record of interacting with all levels of internal and external members and successful conflict resolution. Flexibility to work in any TSCU branch when necessary. Demonstrated computer proficiency with the internet and Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook and Project. Database experience preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in organizing and prioritizing work to meet deadlines. Bilingual in Spanish a plus. Clean Credit Required.
