Description:PRIMARY FUNCTION:
This position is responsible for maintaining all core system processes and assists in all projects that are associated with the core system operations or interfaced systems and the helpdesk function.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Manages core and associated system operations and database administration, ensuring integrity and accuracy of both.
2. Ensures regulatory compliance as it pertains to change management of all core processes.
3. Manages or assists in management of projects as directed by the CIO.
4. Writes, updates contingency plans and implements same as it pertains to the core and associated systems.

Duties:OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Reports on operational issues, project status, pending upgrades and changes or modifications in procedure to the CIO.
2. Maintains viable vendor relationships as mandated by vendor management policy.
3. Reports any security violation or other security incidents to the CIO as events are detected.
4. Ensures compliance with the Disaster Recovery (DR) Plan for core and associated systems, including ensuring all backup is maintained to ensure complete and accurate recovery.
5. Manages core and associated systems off-hour monitoring. This includes Summit and all third-party interfaces and orchestrates timely resolution of problems.
6. Performs all other duties as assigned by the CIO.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Advanced knowledge of F.I. operations, policies, and procedures.
2. A working knowledge of Network technologies (LAN/WAN administration).
3. Advanced knowledge of the HP9000 mainframe system and its UNIX OS.
4. Advanced Fiserv Spectrum Software core system knowledge, or like core system.
5. A working knowledge of workstation technology.
6. Ability to administer a LAN/WAN with host connectivity.
7. Ability to work in and manage a helpdesk fitting the cultural �exceptional experience� model.
8. Skills in carrying out management practices within defined culture.
9. Must have valid Arizona driver�s license to drive.

Qualifications:EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
1. Minimum of five years of financial institution experience with at least two years in a credit union in a management position.
2. Minimum of two years at an accredited college or university with a major in MIS or related courses, preferred. At least 5 years operating a core system, HPUX experience strongly preferred.
3. Completion of course materials towards network administration, strong preference for certification.
4. Educational requirements may be waived if individual has at least eight years of progressively more responsible managerial work experience in IT.
