Description:SUMMARY Under the supervision of the Internal Audit Manager, conducts audits for management to assess effectiveness of controls, accuracy of financial records, compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and efficiency of operations by performing the following duties.

Duties:ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

� Audits records of lending departments to ensure proper underwriting, funding and closing of loans. Reviews loan files to ensure documentation and the terms of the loans are in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations and Investor requirements.

� Analyzes data obtained for evidence of deficiencies in controls, duplication of effort, fraud, lack of segregation of duties, or lack of compliance with laws, government regulations, and management policies or procedures.

� Examines department activities for compliance with management plans and policies.

� Prepares and submits audit findings and makes recommendations to management.

� Assist in the design of and conduct loan reviews ensuring compliance with Investor requirements and guidelines.

� Conducts special reviews and projects for management such as those required to discover causes of detected fraud and to develop controls for fraud prevention.

� Assist in the completion of the annual audit plan.
Qualifications:QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting; two to four years of related auditing experience within a financial institution. CPA a plus.

Additional Requirements: 3-5 years of Mortgage-Banking, Consumer Lending or Commercial Lending experience a plus. Strong working knowledge of Conforming and Non-Conforming Loan products, Investor guidelines and applicable state and federal real estate lending regulations.

Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
