| Duties: | Duties
1. Maintain working knowledge of all developments in collections area, including regulatory requirements
2. Supervise and monitor the collection of all loans and handle non-routine matters that arise
3. Establish and maintain effective collection procedures on those loan accounts that are late and potentially delinquent, and charge off items
4. Print and send collection and delinquent loan notices and/or letters
5. Follow up on delinquent, high-balance, and credit balance accounts by phone or letter
6. Notify co-signers regarding status of delinquent accounts
7. Determine when to compromise and settle balances and when to initiate
foreclosure or repossession proceedings
8. Determine when loan collateral should be repossessed and serve as liaison with attorneys or agencies in handling repossession of collateral
9. Process, maintain and log activity for repossessed vehicles
10. File all claims, attend hearings, and coordinate with trustees for all bankruptcy filings
11. Place judgments on charge off accounts and/or garnishments
12. Research payroll deductions, stops, starts, and changes as they may affect the status of a loan repayment
13. Assist members with financial problems with budget and/or payment plans
14. Responsible for financial month end reports, graphs and notes, as needed
15. Investigate and correct discrepancies in loan applications and credit bureau reports
16. Answer telephone when not busy with a member
17. Adherence to all policies and procedures surrounding state and federal regulations, including but not limited to USA Patriot Act (CIP), OFAC and Bank Secrecy Act.

3. Maintain a working knowledge of the many aspects of the credit union to better serve members
4. Work cooperatively in a team environment with other staff members
5. Maintain professional appearance and good attendance
6. Understand and adhere to established credit union policies/procedures; comply with all regulatory requirements for security, loan and deposit products
7. Ensure highest level of accuracy and confidentiality in all credit union business
8. Attend ongoing training functions, upon request.
Physical Demands/Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job includes close vision for computer work and the ability to adjust focus from computer to member interface.
The work environment is a financial services office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While safety precautions are in place, due to the nature of the financial services industry, robbery is possible.

| Qualifications: | Preferred Qualifications
1. Knowledge of credit union systems and regulatory environment; High school diploma; Completion of a bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, preferred; At least three years of experience in a financial institution required; Prior collections or lending experience a plus
2. Demonstrated ability to complete tasks with high degree of accuracy and adhere to deadlines; Detail-oriented
3. Demonstrated ability to resolve problems and misunderstandings for members
4. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
5. Ability to make decisions and work independently
6. Skills to handle many tasks at different degrees of difficulty. Competence and initiative to take on additional responsibilities. Ability to manage time and set priorities
7. Demonstrated ability to efficiently use PC-based word processing and other software
