Description:Colorado Credit Union is looking for an energetic, highly motivated individual to lead a sales & member service driven team.

The branch supervisor guides and assists branch office employees in respect to their duties. Provides assistance to employees in assessing member needs and contributing to the growth of the credit union.
Duties:Maintain highly motivated and professionally trained employees; ensuring adequate daily, weekly and Saturday hours staffing needs, providing ongoing training and providing coaching and development sessions with assistance from Operation Manager.

To process all member loan applications unless otherwise assigned and correspondence in a 24 hour period. To respond to all telephone messages within two hours of receiving and all completed by end of day. To answer telephone within three rings.

To process all member new account applications and correspondence in a 24 hour period.

Monitor expenses for the branch to ensure consistency with the overall strategic plan and budget of the credit union.

Communicate and evaluate policies and procedures for the branch, coordinating with other branch supervisors to ensure consistency between locations.

Recruit, interview, and select new employees, ensuring that the credit union is adequately staffed with competent employees with the assistance from the Operations Manager.

Cultivate a needs-based approach to member service with individual coaching and/or goal-setting, to ensure credit union and individual goals are met while expanding member relations.

Evaluate the job performance of Credit Union employees and recommend salary adjustments to ensure quality of work and service to members with the assistance from the Operations Manager.

Ensure the branch is compliant with federal laws and regulations set forth by the NCUA and other regulatory agencies.

Monitor key products/sales within branch to ensure profitable and sound business practice for the credit union, a high quality of service for members, and those employees are assessing member needs and maximizing opportunities to present products as appropriate.

Manage the security and safety of the branch, with responsibility to analyze security and safety policies and procedures, and to alert employees of any changes.

Work with auditors and the Operations Manager to ensure compliance with internal controls.
Practice and ensure organizational policies and procedures in accordance with BSA and federal regulation compliance.

Monitor office activity including, but not limited to, teller balancing, loans, and new accounts.
Ensure that Operations Manager is kept fully informed of conditions within the branch, including all important factors influencing operations.

Verifies cash received, filling teller cash orders, maintaining full vault security and balancing vault cash daily, serves as vault teller for the branch office in a dual controlled manner as well as manages negotiable items.

Supervise the activities of the operations area by assigning work, answering questions, solving problems, helping with transactions and sensitive member relations problems, explaining policies and procedures to members, etc.

Collaborates with management staff to create and support promotions and strategies to meet credit unionís goals.

Manage and recommend the purchase of supplies and equipment.

Participates in credit union business development opportunities and community relations activities.

Adhere to all service standards as outlined in the credit unionís policies and procedures.

Performs other duties as requested or needed.


Qualifications:KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

Knowledge of and ability to apply basic supervisory skills, effective member service and proper phone etiquette skills. Knowledge of financial products and services and basic computer operations. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing. Ability to verbally communicate in person and by phone, read, type, make judgment and count currency and coin. Ability to detect and trace errors, trouble-shoot and solve problems.

EDUCATION OR FORMAL TRAINING

(1) A two year college degree or (2) Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or (3) Completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program.

EXPERIENCE

Six months to two years of similar or related experience.
