Responsible for greeting members and potential members, identifying their perceived and unperceived needs and process transactions promptly and accurately. Promote quality member service, via the telephone or in person. Utilizes a thorough SCU product knowledge, exceptional cross selling and service skills and a professional demeanor to assist each member. Performs exceptional service, working both independently and as a team. Serves as a leader and role model for other members of the organization and performs as a strong backup to the Operations Supervisor.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Receives and processes member financial transactions, with a high level of accuracy and efficiency, and with a good audit trail within SCU guideline s and policies. Follows all Sooper Credit Unionís policies and procedures. Welcomes members to the branch and provides excellent member service throughout each memberís entire visit, including determining the members needs by cross selling additional products and services and finalizing the business. Maintains a balanced check run and cash drawer at all times.
Uses available training and resources to ask needs identifying questions to cross sell Sooper Credit Unionís products and meet the designated monthly sales goal.
Assists the Operations Supervisor with scheduling, training, and coaching the other tellers, assists with performance reviews, maintains the branchís monthly audit requirements.
Utilizes down-time to file, scan, and maintain documents.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
To maintain a high skill level among tellers, schedule tellers to meet member demand at a minimum of cost.
To provide informed, professional, personal service to all members.
To balance drawer, machines, vault, and branch consistently with minimal to zero balancing errors.
To process transactions when deemed necessary by department supervisor.
To strive for posting accuracy, measurement to be determined by department manager and to be measured in employee performance evaluation goals.
To successfully close 15 sales including at least 5 core products.
To maintain a dependable record of attendance and timeliness.
|Qualifications:||Knowledge and Skills:|
Six months to two years of similar or related experience.
A high school education or GED.
Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion.
Must have good communication skills for training other tellers. 10-key calculator and computer keyboard skills. Accurate with numbers and names.
Must be able to lift 20 lbs.
